South Elementary Pond and Bridge Project
Welcome to the photo documentary showcasing the South Elementary Pond and Bridge project. This multiyear community service learning project was made possible by the efforts of the dedicated Engineering Design students and Raider volunteers of Somerset Berkley Regional High School. This seasonal pond site naturally fills up during the cold winter months and into the spring season. The water then flows into the adjoining asphalt spillway and into a catch basin underground. Project was completed Fall of 2021. CST continues to host monthly cleanup days at this site. Photos are chronological for your viewing pleasure.

Save the Woodchips Project
Save the Woodchips Project was started for all Engineering Design students on January 24, 2022. Near completion of the Pond and Bridge project, another issue was evident and needed attention. Students started off with brainstorming ideas and adding supplies to HomeDepot shopping carts for materials. That first week students went on Google earth and captured aerial views of the playground where woodchips runoff was evident. This Save the Woodchips project will be shared below in chronological format and will lead to a final design to be chosen and built on site to Save the Woodchips.
